Sandra Lee serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC), the U.S. regulatory body responsible for identifying risks and responding to emerging threats to financial stability.
She previously served in the Executive Office of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she worked to advance strategic initiatives and policies on critical issues, such as fintech and regulatory reform, and served as a liaison to international and domestic policy bodies, including the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), Financial Stability Board (FSB), US Treasury, and FSOC. In a prior role in the Legal Group at the NY Fed, she negotiated and drafted legal documentation for financial stability programs in the wake of the 2008 economic crisis.
An earlier stint in the U.S. Treasury Department included service as Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary of Domestic Finance and as Senior Policy Advisor to the FSOC in its first year.
Sandra has a JD from New York University School of Law, and a BA from Yale University.
